The Genesis GV70 all-wheel-drive 3.5T Sports Prestige is a remarkable SUV. I am wowed by the styling, the design, the fit and finish, and the ergonomics. This is an incredibly engineered vehicle that has been winning awards. Notable is the coveted SUV of the year award. Genesis has more than proven its metal as a luxury brand. What I love about the GV70 is that it feels solid and sturdy.

The driving dynamics are very firm. You have many driving modes. There’s a slew of technology features.  You get active safety features like the highway driving assist. On the GV70 this feature is incredible. You have a blind spot collision avoidance assist. The system is a level 2.

I was able to drive around the Washington DC metropolitan area in stop-and-go traffic. I was driving on I-495 on the inner beltway. My drives also took me on I-70, all the way west to Hagerstown, Maryland. I also drove in the northeast area of West Virginia on I-81.

In addition, I drove all the way east on I-97 to Annapolis. Between, I  made stops in places like Columbia Maryland. I. enjoyed driving this vehicle. It has a futuristic cabin. It was also great getting a pulse massage while listening to stations like watercolors on Sirius XM. I also listened to cool jazz and sometimes I listened to the spa station. The calming music however couldn’t prevent me from feeling the rage in the engine.

Underneath the hood, it has a 3.5 liter V6 turbo engine that makes 375 horsepower and 391-pound feet of torque. You get an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The model I drove was the sports prestige package, which has 21-inch alloy wheels. It adds Carbon fiber trim. and a 12.3-inch 3D digital cluster.

It also had a navigation system that features a 14.5 inch HD screen. There’s also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

It also has wireless charging and fingerprint recognition. It came in what they call a Mauna red paint color, that’s a $500 option. You get three years of Genesis-connected services. in the Genesis GV70 all-wheel drive. There are so many features in the sports advanced package.

The sports prestige package took the base price from $52,600 to a delivered price of $64,044. For more information visit www.genesis.com
