I have been more than impressed by Hyundai’s luxury division, Genesis. I had a great opportunity to spend a week in the Genesis G70 rear-wheel-drive 3.3 T Sport Prestige. A lot of my impressions were spectacular.

I was truly impressed by the update in the styling both in the rear end and in the front end. The G70 is now more in line with the design language on the GV70, the GV80, and also the G80.

The front end is more aggressive, the rear end is more taught. In my week spent in the vehicle, I was able to drive around the Washington Metropolitan area. I drove all the way east to Columbia Maryland on I-95 along with state route  175. I drove all the way west on 270 and I-70 to Hagerstown into the northeast part of West Virginia and I-81.

Using highway driving assist was spectacular. I drove through the gorgeous hills and got into Appalachia. The highway driving assist system is very good in keeping in the lanes. It also provides steering assist.

The system was very functional and very efficient. I also loved the digital dash. You’re able to see what’s on the left and on the right when you make a signal. You’re able to see clearly beyond your peripheral view. The model I drove had wireless charging.

It had heated and cool seats, a heated steering wheel, and had a 10.25-inch premium navigation system. There is a lexicon 15 speaker premium audio system. I was able to listen to the music I made with the music department at Carnegie Mellon called Paradise.

The sports prestige package brings a color heads-up display and a Napa leather seat and surfaces.

Underneath the hood is a 3.3 liter V6 turbo engine that makes 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque.

It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Adriatic blue which is a $500 option is more than worth it. If I was to buy a Genesis this is the color I would get. It is beautiful, it is so gorgeous.

The Genesis G70 rear-wheel-drive 3.3 T is also fuel-efficient.  It gets an EPA-rated 27 miles per gallon on the highway. The base price on the Genesis G70 rear-wheel drive is $42,100. With features like the sports advance package, the Adriatic blue paint, and a sports prestige package, it came out to a delivered price of  $51,945. for more information visit www.Genesis.com
