TOYOTA TUNDRA CREWMAX PLATINUM

I was delighted when I got an opportunity to spend a week with the new Toyota Tundra Crewmax Platinum. I live in a mountainous area in rural America and border the states of Pennsylvania and Maryland. Needless to say, pickups are ubiquitous where I live. What impressed me about the Crewmax was the premium interior and also the available power. It had perforated fine stitched leather and a V8 engine that makes 381 HP and 401 lb-ft of torque. The model I drove had beautiful white paint on the exterior with black interior. The tow capacity on the Crewmax Platinum is 8800 lbs, which is more than adequate for heavy duty hauling. The Tundra Crewmax Platinum is matted to a 6-speed automatic, and gets 17 MPG on the highway. I would have loved better fuel economy but found the safety features are great. The Tundra Crewmax Platinum includes Toyota’s great Safety Sense pre-collision warning and also includes a backup camera. Base price on the Crewmax is $50,430 and the model I drove was $52,585 delivered. For more information visit www.toyota.com
