For 2019 Hyundai has totally redesigned the Santa Fe Sport into the Santa Fe and I have to admit I love the results. The new Santa Fe features seating for 5 adult passengers comfortably and also has a number of features and amenities that made for an enjoyable ride in my week spent around the Washington, DC metropolitan area. I love the new aggressive styling, especially the grill. It gives the Santa Fe a sleeker and more stylish look. I drove the Ultimate 2.0 T model which featured a 2.0L turbo engine that makes 235 HP and 260 lb.-ft of torque matted to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is EPA rated 25 MPG on the highway. The Santa FE Ultimate 2.0T has a 3500 lb. towing capacity, though I didn’t have a need for towing while driving on I-495 and I-70 locally during my test drive. You get a lot of standard features in the Ultimate 2.0 T including lane keep assist, Led lighting, 8-way power driver and passenger seats, 8” touch screen navigation system, a heads up display, smart cruise control, wireless charging, and one of my favorites, a 12 speaker Infinity sound system, and so much more. Another cool feature I enjoyed was the handsfree tailgate that works with the proximity key. You can also expect Android Auto and Apple carplay compatibility in a vehicle that starts at $37,100.
