Ford has made several upgrades to the new Ford F-150. I had the pleasure of a wonderful week spent with the 4X4 Supercrew Limited and came away very impressed. The limited model I drove featured numbered badging with a high-quality interior of stitched leather and premium materials. I loved the fold out running boards that retract, which made for easy entry and exiting of the massive beast. You also get Sync 3 which features Apple Carplay and Android Auto with an 8in touch screen display. The B&O sound system was great and the twin panel moon roof is a nice touch. I also enjoyed the safety features which include a pre collision alert system with brake assist, a lane keep assist system, cruise control with stop and go, backup camera and cross traffic alert, and much more. Where the F-150 really shines however is under the hood. The Limited Supercrew I drove features a 3.5 L V6 ecoboost engine that makes 450 HP and 510 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is matted to a 10-speed automatic transmission that helps the aluminum-based F-150 get 23 MPG on the highway. With the Limited Supercrew you also get 10,700 lb towing capacity. I didn’t have anything to haul close to that during my time with the F-150 but that is more than enough to haul a boat. The Limited Supercrew has a base price of $67,135.
