I love American muscle and no car represents that better than the Mustang. For over 50 years, the Mustang has been the standard for American muscle and as the current sales king that title seems safe. The latest Mustang is something I look at daily, in model form, as one has to admire the sleekness and the sloping lines of the design, a testament to the work Moray Callum and team have done. We were fortunate to speak to him about that and more in an exclusive interview we share in this issue. Beyond the great design, are the wide range of power options and the introduction of a 2.3-Liter I-4 engine that highlights the EcoBoost technology by making 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. This was quite impressive in my week around the DC Metropolitan area. I was apprehensive yet surprised, actually, as a former SHO owner myself. The 2.3L EcoBoost had a great exhaust sound, swift acceleration and great fuel economy, getting 21 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. You also get great technology like the SYNC 3 system and RECARO racing seats along with adaptive cruise control, 19-inch wheels, a voice-activated navigation system, a 6-speed automatic transmission, and so much more that took the base $29,300 to just above $39,000 delivered. With performance, style and efficiency, you can’t beat the Mustang EcoBoost. For more info, visit
