The Mazda CX-30 is a stylish compact crossover. I had a chance to spend a week in the Premium Plus around the Washington DC metropolitan area and had an exceptional time. I was able to drive around DC, Northern Virginia, the Eastern and Western parts of Maryland, and West Virginia on the Eastern Panhandle. I drove, I-70 I-81, I-495, and the interchange 200. I really enjoyed this premium feature.

You have paddle shifters, you have a 2.5-liter turbo engine and you have an exceptional Bose sound system. The sunroof. and leather seats create a very warm and inviting cabin. There are black, brown, and white touches and metallic brush aluminum. You also have safety features like exceptional adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.

Underneath the hood is the 2.5-liter turbo engine with 227 horsepower and 310-pound feet of torque.

Now that’s an exceptional amount of power in this compact SUV. The 18-inch alloy wheels looked great. I was able to go by Kent Island driving over the Bay Bridge feeling a sense of calm and peace. Driving the CX-30 I felt energized.

The Mazda navigation system is the same great one that you have in the Mazda 3. It has an 8.8-inch color display.

It also has the Mazda Connect telematics. I loved the heads-up display which also has active traffic and roadside displays. Fuel economy on this CX-30 was great. You get an EPA-rated 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The base price was $33,900.

With only a few options like 360-degree view control and rear cross-traffic, it came at a delivered price of $35,995. Having visited Mazda’s factory in Hiroshima Japan I can vouch for the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the assembly.

I can’t rave enough about this compact SUV. Mazda has mastered how they’ve built their vehicles. They’ve really attacked the compact and subcompact space. The CX-30 is a must-drive. That should be on any car shoppers list looking for a crossover. For more information visit www.mazdausa.com
