The Brilliant VW Atlas Cross Sport R-Line

Cart

I love the Paul Giamatti and Kieran Culkin Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport commercial.

The messaging I got from the Ad spot is that the Cross Sport is a premium high content SUV, that is a wise investment for a celebrity.

I tend to agree after my week spent around the Washington Metropolitan area in the V6 SEL R-Line.

In the SEL R-Line, you’re getting a lot of top-notch quality. This model features an eight-speed automatic with Tiptronic and formation, it has a 3.6-liter V6 engine.

With the 3.6 L V6, you get 276 HP and 266 lb-ft of torque. It also has a 5000lb towing capacity.

It gets an EPA rated 22 MPG on the Highway, but I’m able to get 27.8 miles per gallon using the think blue trainer. So it’s pretty fuel-efficient. The SEL R-Line is very well appointed. I love features like wireless charging, Android Auto, and Apple Carplay. These features are all part of Volkswagen’s car-net system.

I also loved the all-digital dash. A cool feature I loved was the ability to integrate the navigation into the configurable 10 in digital cockpit. The digital telematics system also has an 8-inch color display.

It integrates proximity sensors and a multimedia touchscreen. It also features a nice sound system in which I was able to listen to my song PARADISE that I wrote with the students at the Carnegie Mellon music department. The R-Line I was driving also comes standard with 21-inch alloy wheels.

It has several drive modes including snow, highway, mountain, and off-road. I also like the fit and finish in addition to the panoramic roof. This model I’m driving is fully loaded with a base price of $44,945. The delivered price is $46,200. the only option on it was just floor mats. So it’s standard as configured. The Cross Sport R-Line is truly an exceptional value. For more information visit www.vw.com.
