I recently had the pleasure of driving the Polestar 2 Dual Motor Performance Plus. My journey took me around the Washington DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas, where I was able to fully experience this all-electric vehicle with an EPA-rated range of 247 miles.
During my drives, I had the opportunity to test the performance and acceleration of the Polestar 2. One of the standout features is the full integration of the Google-derived technology stack. The vehicle is equipped with sensors that eliminate the need for pushing a button to start, which I found to be a significant convenience.
The power of the Polestar 2 is impressive, with its dual motors producing a combined 455 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque. This is further enhanced by a 78-kilowatt battery.
Finding fast charging locations around the Washington DC area and Baltimore was straightforward. I used EV Smart from Pepco and even found charging locations at grocery stores like Giant.
The Polestar 2 also excels in terms of entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to my Dah-Varsity album on the Harman Kardon sound system. The acoustic dynamics were incredible.
In terms of aesthetics, the Polestar 2 is stylish. I particularly loved the yellow brakes and the comfortable rear seats. The vehicle handled exceptionally well, making the driving experience even more enjoyable.
The base price of the Polestar 2 is $63,000. With additional options like Napa leather and metallic paint, the delivered price comes to $69,650. For more information, visit www.polestar.com
