I had a fantastic time driving the Ford Escape Front-Wheel Drive Plug-In Hybrid. The sleek and stylish design, highlighted by the impressive LED lighting with proximity sensors, immediately caught my attention. My journey with the Escape took me through various routes in the Washington DC metropolitan area, from I-495 to Route 50, offering a blend of urban and scenic driving experiences.

Venturing westward on I-70 through Western Maryland’s Appalachian Hills and continuing on I-81 towards the Northeastern part of West Virginia, the Escape’s plug-in hybrid capabilities truly shone. With an EPA-rated 101 MPGe or 40 miles per gallon in hybrid mode, the Escape proved to be efficient and reliable throughout my drives in the DC area.

The model I drove was equipped with a plethora of technology features, including an impeccable B&O audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, and an advanced telematics system. Safety features such as adaptive cruise control and wireless charging added to the overall convenience and comfort of the driving experience.

My companion on my drives was my son, who was equally impressed by the Escape’s competitive edge and intriguing features. With a starting price of $38,500, and various options like metallic paint, active park assist, panoramic roof, and more, the Escape offers exceptional value for its price point. With additional features, the delivered price of $47,115 makes it an attractive option in the plug-in hybrid SUV segment.

The convenience of charging while shopping at locations like Giant Foods, which offers free charging facilities, enhanced the overall ownership experience. With compatibility with a CCS J772 outlet, charging the Escape is a breeze.
