Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature – A Week of Excitement

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week with the Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature, and it was truly a great experience. This stylish and fuel-efficient vehicle brought excitement to my drives around the Washington DC metropolitan area. In fact, my mother’s neighbor was so impressed by the CX-5 that he purchased one after seeing me drive it. The CX-5 Turbo Signature offers premium touches without compromising its elegant stance, and it provides exceptional comfort.

Under the hood, you’ll find a powerful 2.5-liter engine that delivers 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic Skyactiv transmission, providing smooth and responsive performance.

The model I drove featured 19-inch wheels, and I was pleased to discover its impressive fuel efficiency of 27 miles per gallon on the highway. During my drives, I observed a combined fuel efficiency of 24.9 miles per gallon, surpassing the EPA-rated combined fuel efficiency of 22 miles per gallon.

I was particularly interested in exploring the upgrades made to the CX-5 since a cousin of mine owns one. The interior enhancements, wireless charging, and new telematics interface were impressive. The brushed aluminum accents, brown tones, and luxurious leather upholstery elevated the overall interior design. The fit and finish of the CX-5 Turbo Signature were impeccable, adding to its premium appeal.

During my drives, I ventured far west on I-70, then continued on I-81, exploring parts of West Virginia, and finally reaching Pittsburgh via I-76. The CX-5’s performance and comfort made these journeys truly exhilarating. This compact SUV offers a comfortable and luxurious ride, embodying Mazda’s commitment to excellence. I had the opportunity to visit the Mazda factory in Hiroshima, where the CX-5 is manufactured, and witnessing the build quality and attention to detail further reinforced my positive impression of the vehicle.

The CX-5 Turbo Signature comes equipped with a 10.25-inch color display, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 10-speaker sound system added to the enjoyment of my drives, especially when playing the new album “Dah-Varsity Origins: A Superhero Rap.” The sound quality was truly spectacular. I also took some time to appreciate the serenity of the Potomac River, which the CX-5 allowed me to experience with its presence and calmness.

In conclusion, the Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature provided a week of excitement, offering a perfect blend of style, fuel efficiency, and luxury. It is no wonder that the CX-5 holds a significant place in Mazda’s lineup. This compact SUV delivers a comfortable and exhilarating driving experience, making it a standout choice in its segment.

With a base price of $39,650, the Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature offers excellent value for its features and performance. The delivered price of the model I drove came to $40,925. For more information, visit Mazda’s official website at
