Hyundai has presented a whole slew of upgrades to the all-new Santa Fe. I especially enjoyed my week driving the Santa Fe around the Washington area. However, I had fewer places to go than usual. I loved the fact that there’s a clean air feature. With a global pandemic going, feeling like the air that comes into the cabin is filtered gives you an extra sense of security. Speaking on security it has a slew of active safety features.
It has integrated cameras that show your blind spots in the dashboard while turning. There are also several more features. Forward collision assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, and so much more. It also has a very fuel-efficient 2.0 turbo engine. With start-stop technology it gets an EPA rated 27 MPG on the highway. The 2.0 L engine makes 235 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Infinity sound system was very good.
From time to time when I needed to get out of the house, I’ll come in, sit in the cabin and play some calming music. I’m finding myself loving apps like Calm to try to deal with all that’s going on around us. There’s an excellent touch screen navigation system.
The limited model I drove has nice leather seats. There’s tons of room along with heated and cooled seats, and a heated steering wheel.
