Style, Performance, and Functionality in the VW Tiguan R-Line SEL 4Motion

Cart

I had a spectacular time driving to the Volkswagen Tiguan SEL R-line 4 Motion. I spent a week in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. This Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line has a very special sentiment for me and my family. My brother had ridden in the Volkswagen Taos that I had reviewed and he liked it.

He recently bought the Tiguan R-Line as his daily driver. He owned a Porsche Cayenne S and recently bought a BMW M5 competition. His wife drives a Mercedes-Benz GLS 500. He was looking for a more practical SUV that had premium features for him and his family. I recommended the Tiguan to him. Volkswagen was gracious enough to be able to help us find one in Texas. He wanted something with top-of-the-line features, an exceptional sound system, and great comfort. He also wanted something he would feel cool with driving my niece and nephew to school. He and his wife are both distinguished doctors. The Tiguan fits the bill. The R-line SEL is a well-appointed, highly-featured Compact SUV.

It has a slew of features including a 10.25-inch digital cockpit. It has an 8-inch touchscreen navigation.

It has heated front seats and wireless charging capability. I was able to use the wireless Apple CarPlay. Which integrates well and played the music I made with the music department at Carnegie Mellon. My song Stop The Bullying in the Fender sound system.

I was able to drive all around the Washington DC metropolitan area. I joined some of my colleagues at the Washington Automotive Press Association for our annual Rally. Power is more than adequate.

You have. A 2.0-liter turbo engine that makes 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The model I had driven had a 4-motion all-wheel drive system. It’s EPA rated 28 miles per gallon on the highway. Though I was able to get a 30.8 per gallon average. You have a lot of active safety features. There are several drive modes including; Snow. Normal sport and eco. You can even customize your driving. My brother and his family enjoyed it.

He actually drives the Tiguan the most out of the luxury fleet. Their base price on the Tiguan SEL R-line is  $36,595 and includes standard 4Motion all-wheel drive.

It is a must-drive for anyone looking at compact SUVs. For more information visit www.vw.com
