The Ultimate Sportscar The Toyota Supra GR 2.0

Just looking at the pictures of the yellow Toyota Supra GR 2.0 I drove gives me goosebumps. I had such an exhilarating drive in the Toyota GR Supra 2.0. I’ve had a chance to drive the 3.0. which has a V6. The engine was pretty robust but I was more than elated to spend a week in the 2.0-liter engine.

It’s a twin turbo twin scroll turbo underneath the hood. The 2.0 makes 255 horsepower and 296 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has paddle shifters and a strong rear-wheel drive bias. It’s also pretty fuel efficient it gets an EPA rated. 32 miles per gallon on the highway. My drives took me across the state of Maryland. I must say I was delighted driving all the way east on I-97. I went across the Bay Bridge to Kent Island. I made a stop around in Annapolis. I also drove all the way west on I-70 and I-270 to Hagerstown Maryland. I will reach the northeast part of West Virginia on I-81. This yellow beauty was such a thrill to drive.

The 2.0-liter engine was more than powerful enough. Prior to my drive, I wondered if I would be satisfied by the power output.  However, the weight vs power distribution was exceptional. This is a vehicle I would strongly consider as a daily driver. I was even able to stop by and go to Costco to get some water and my veggies. I even took a nice walk.

Getting back into the cabin I played my music from the Carnegie Mellon project that I did with the music department. With the JBL speakers, the Chronicles Album sounded exceptional. I was able to enjoy the robust dynamics of the sound. it was a 500-watt JBL audio system with 12 speakers. There is an 8.8-inch touchscreen display that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Apple CarPlay is actually wireless, which was exceptional for me.

The GR came with a safety and technology package. There’s adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and other driver technologies. To be honest with you behind the wheel of a Supra I prefer to take full control. The fit and finish are impeccable. They’re nice carbon fiber touches inside. There is also a digital dash. The racing seats were very firm. The base price is $43,190. With options like the safety and technology package and the beautiful yellow color, it came to a delivered price of $48,125. for more information visit www.toyota.com
