I got a chance to spend a week in the Ford F-250 Super Duty 4×4 Crew Cab Lariat. I spent this time during a snowstorm in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. We received several inches of snow. The Super Duty Ford F-250 Lariat was more than capable.

Underneath the hood is a 6.7L power stroke V8 engine. It makes 475 HP and 1050 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. In the Super Duty, I was able to travel as far east on I-97 to Annapolis and Kent Island. I also drove as far West to Hagerstown and Northeastern West Virginia on I-81 and I-70. The Super Duty is more than capable and functional with several power outlets. There is wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto integration. A Wi-Fi hotspot is among several features. I was able to operate as a mobile office. I completed documents, even signing off on some DocuSign documents while in the truck. Plugging my laptop into the available power outlet allowed me to be able to do work.

The sound system was pretty cool. I was able to listen to the music I created with the Carnegie Mellon music department. Two of the songs Paradise and Stop The Bullying sounded great in the B&O 10 speaker sound system. It was a rich and robust sound. The F-250 also has some active safety technology available including Lane Departure Assist.

There’s so much to love about this super-duty truck. I was able to carry some cargo including some boxes I needed to ship for an after-school program we were doing. The cabin is pretty comfortable. It features nice touches. The styling is great. My son said it looks like a Tonka truck. And I just loved it. The Base price on the Ford Super Duty is $52,730.

The model I drove had the extra center extra 6.7L V8 diesel engine. It also had the Lariat Ultimate Package among others for a delivered price of $75,625 dollars. For more information visit www.ford.com
