My love affair with the Audi SQ5 Sportback Prestige

Cart

I have fallen in love with the Audi SQ5 Sportback. It is an exceptional machine with incredible performance. Underneath the hood is a 3.0-liter V6 engine that makes 349 horsepower and 369-pound feet of torque.

It is mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission. It features twenty-inch wheels. I had an exhilarating jaunt across the Washington DC metropolitan area.

My test drive took me all the way east to Annapolis on I-97. I also drove to Baltimore’s inner harbor on I-95. My drives also took me west to Hagerstown Maryland on I-70 and the Northeast part of West Virginia on I-81. In between, I drove on I-270 and I-495. The SQ5 Sportback was my vehicle during my birthday.

This was the perfect way to ride. The cabin is nice and it’s what you expect of Audi’s fable fit and finishing quality. I Love the panoramic roof and the technology integration. You have Audi connect prime and connect prime plus. Which integrates Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Audi also has integrated a tool module into the rearview mirror.

My love affair with the Audi SQ5 also extends to the styling. I’ve found myself excited about these Sportback. They allow a more expressive design language for vehicles. My family was able to enjoy the SQ5 with me.

Including my mother and my son. It was especially nice for us to enjoy this during my birthday. The SQ5 gets an EPA-rated 24 miles per gallon on the highway.

Drive. I averaged around that amount of 26.5 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving. This is more than the combined 20 miles per gallon city and highway rated by the EPA. The model I drove came along with the prestige package. It comes with the Bang and Olufsen 3D sound system. It sounded incredible with the music I made with the music department at Carnegie Mellon.

The package also adds the park assist and traffic jam assist. Both were useful for finding parking and also driving in a congested metropolitan area. The model has the black optic wheels package, the black optic package, and the sports package. The SQ5 Sportback has a base price of $56,100, but with all the options I mentioned it came out to a delivered price of $73,990.

Now this Audi is made out of Audi’s manufacturing plant in San Jose Chipa, Mexico. I’ve been wanting to visit that plant. I have been told it is more modern than the impressive plant in Ingolstadt Germany. I’ve written about my trip to Ingolstadt and you can read more about it here.
