I had a chance to spend some days in the premium plus model  Audi Q5 45 TFSI Quattro. It was an excellent and exciting experience. The Q5 is a very important model for Audi and generates lots of sales. It’s in the compact SUV segment, which is highly competitive. It is a finely crafted machine that features Audi’s trademark fit and finishes.

In the interiors that have served as a benchmark for other manufacturers. For a long time. Derived and comfort. Is exceptional. Underneath the hood is a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that’s mated to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission with Quattro all-wheel drive. The turbo engine makes 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.

It felt exceptional driving around to the Washington DC area going to Western Maryland around Hagerstown on I-70. I also drove on the I-81 inWest Virginia driving and I-66 in Northern Virginia. It was a very thrilling experience that I appreciated and enjoyed with my son. The premium plus package adds 19-inch wheels.

The Sirius satellite had all access. The optional navigation system added MMI navigation plus Audi connect prime. Part of the premium plus package is the traffic jam assist besides a lot of other features.

It also had the bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound. I love the dynamics of playing my two songs Paradise and Stop the Bullying that I did with the music department at Carnegie Mellon. The rich audio texture warmed my heart, it brought me into a space of serenity and peace, and excitement. It’s also pretty fuel-efficient; it gets an EPA-rated 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

The Q5 is actually manufactured in North America at their plant in San Jose Chiapa, Mexico. I’d had a chance to visit Audi’s factory in Ingolstadt and was told that the newest factor at that time is the plant in Mexico that makes the Q5. I hope one day to go and see how this fine machine is put together.

When I visited the plants in Ingolstadt, I was able to experience the Audi customer delivery system. It’s an exceptional system where you’re able to customize and pick your own colors for the vehicle.

The model I drove was in a beautiful blue that Audi calls Navarra blue metallic. I would love to see how that color came together and other color options. The base price on the Audi Q545. TFSI Quattro is $43,300. As delivered with the premium package it came out to $53,000. For more information visit audi.com
