Lexus GX 460 Luxury Test Drive

I had a great time in the Lexus GX 460. The all-wheel-drive model I drove had a lot of features.

The available Mark Levinson Premium surround sound system brings a rich audio soundscape into the cabin. It is a 17 speaker, 330 Watt, 7.1 sound system.

I enjoyed listening to our Hip-Hop Jazz Fusion project and calming music during my drives. In an era of car-based SUVs, this is a sturdy body on frame truck-based SUV. You get the Lexus safety system + which has several active safety technologies. Pre-collision, pedestrian detection, and radar-based cruise control are some of the features. In terms of cabin comfort, I love the captain seats for the second row.

In Lexus you expect rich and premium materials and the GX doesn’t disappoint you. I loved the wooden inlays, the wrapped leather and wood steering wheel, and the brushed metal. I also love the technology package where you have a blu-ray player behind the front seats for the rear seat passengers.

My sister-in-law, who is a doctor, actually owned a previous model. She recently decided to stay in the Lexus family and got the RX. However, she stated this was her favorite truck of all time. She has owned several SUV’s from various manufacturers.

In the GX 460, you get a robust engine that makes 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. The GX 460 is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It gets an EPA rated 19 MPG on the Highway. The external design is rugged. 19” wheels are standard. The model I drove had the sport design package which adds dark grey metallic alloy wheels.

The base price on the GX 460 is $64,265. The model I drove cost $71,240 delivered with options like the rear-seat entertainment system, the sound system, and the sport design package I mentioned earlier. For more information visit www.Lexus.com.
