I had a spectacular week driving the Hyundai Ioniq 5N AWD. This is the high-powered, supercharged version of the Ioniq 5, which I truly enjoyed. The Ioniq 5N has so many extra features.
From simulated sound to paddle shifters, energy boost, performance seats, and tighter handling, it is truly a performance electrified vehicle that has all sorts of creature comforts. These include wireless charging and dual 12.3-inch screens that connect with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. I’m just really in awe of this vehicle. I had a chance to drive it with my friend from college, who enjoyed the ride.
My son also had a chance to ride in it, as did my mother, so it was a true family and friends affair. The vehicle simulates sound, allowing you to really explore and experience this electrified vehicle. I am really in love with it.
I was able to drive it around the Washington DC metropolitan area, taking I-95 to I-495, going to Baltimore, and driving west on I-70, reaching the Appalachian hills.
I was able to charge it in Hagerstown and recharge in Hancock, Maryland, getting me all the way to Pittsburgh. The experience was truly amazing.
Driving on I-76, the handling as you go up and down the hills and navigate the twists and turns is impressive. You never lose any power. It has a nice amount of range, supposedly EPA-rated at 221 miles, but I was able to get 240 consistently. With the combination of technology, wheels, performance, auto-drive system, and styling, this is a must-have vehicle. The base price for the Hyundai Ioniq 5N is $66,100, and delivered, it came out to $68,155. For more information, visit Hyundai.
