I thoroughly enjoyed my time exploring the Subaru Impreza 5-door RS, a remarkable hatchback that seamlessly blends performance, style, technology, and functionality. During my extensive drive through the Washington DC metropolitan area, including I-66, I-495, and I-70, I had the opportunity to experience the impressive capabilities of this five-door wonder.

The vibrant bright red color of the Impreza immediately caught my eye, and beneath the hood, a turbo engine delivered a robust performance with ample horsepower and torque. Navigating through the Appalachian Hills and along I-70 towards Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on I-76, the Impreza demonstrated its prowess.

The all-wheel-drive system added an exceptional level of handling to the driving experience, making it both practical and enjoyable. The interior of the cabin left a lasting impression, with comfortable seating and a well-thought-out design. The inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Subaru’s Center Stack, featuring a 11.6-inch touchscreen and physical knobs, provided convenient control over various vehicle functionalities.

In particular, the RS model I had the pleasure of driving boasted a 2.5-liter boxer engine, generating a formidable 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a CVT transmission, it achieved an impressive EPA-rated 33 miles per gallon on the highway.

Beyond its performance, the Impreza’s interior technology enhanced my driving experience. The sound system, coupled with heated seats, added a touch of comfort, especially during the fluctuating weather in the Washington DC area. I even had the chance to celebrate my aunt’s 70th birthday during the journey, making the drive even more memorable.

The base price of the RS model I drove is $27,885. For additional information, visit www.Subaru.com.
