The Quiet Luxury of the Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum

I delighted in my time spent in the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Platinum L4 all-wheel drive. I had a chance to drive across the state of Maryland. I drove from the Western parts in Hagerstown on I-70 and I-81 going into West Virginia on I-81. I also drove all the way to the Eastern part of the state on I-97. I had a chance to go over the Bay Bridge and go to Kent Island and my experiences were fascinating.

The Highlander is a three-row seven-passenger midsize SUV. The midsize SUV is one of the most competitive segments in auto sales. In the Highlander, you have room to seat six adults. The third-row seat could seat three children. There are two captain’s seats in the middle row and two passenger seats.

You have a lot of great amenities and comforts and features. The platinum model I drove had a panoramic roof, wireless, and charging. It had Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+. It has the pre-collision system and pedestrian detection, the full-speed radar cruise control, the lane departure alert. There’s steering assist, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams and so much more. You also have LED lighting and you have a real sumptuous and comfortable interior. What I loved is the 11 JBL speaker with subwoofer and amplifiers. I was able to listen to both Stop the Bullying and Paradise.

You hear the strong dynamic range in the composition. The quality was close to what we did in the studio at Carnegie Mellon University. I drove over the Bay Bridge looking at the calmness of the water. That was refreshing in the Highlander Hybrid. I was able to do my prayer and meditation by the water in Annapolis Maryland. It was a great feeling with the nice comfort features. It comes with a 12.3-inch besides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. There is a 3500 pound towing capacity on the Highlander Platinum hybrid all-wheel drive. It also comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 243 horsepower.

It gets a very fuel-efficient EPA rated 35 miles per gallon in the city and 34 miles per gallon on the highway. The base price of the highlander hybrid all-wheel drive is $50,315. Delivered it came to $51,808. The Highlander Hybrid is assembled in Princeton Indiana. For more information visit www.Toyota.com.
