The Cute SUV, The Hyundai Venue Denim Edition

Cart

It was thrilling spending a week in the new Hyundai Venue Denim Edition. I drove around the Maryland, West Virginia, and Washington DC area including in DC itself. I spent time driving on I-70, I-270, I-81, I-83, I-495, and driving in the Washington DC streets and the suburbs of Maryland.

The venue is a subcompact SUV that features great driving dynamics. It has a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine with 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque.

The engine is mated to a continuous variable timing (CVT) transmission. The model I drove also had 17-inch alloy wheels. It featured an 8-inch navigation system that integrated with Android Auto. It also has Apple CarPlay integration capability. I was able to evaluate how my song Paradise sounded.

The Venue has decent audio dynamics. It’s also fuel-efficient and it gets an EPA-rated 33 miles per gallon on the highway. In my drive around DC, it felt comfortable. The handling is nice. It also came with the Hyundai Blue Link connected system. You’re able to use voice commands for some functions.

The pricing is pretty affordable. It starts at a base price of $22,050. Delivered it came out to $23,390 with only the carpeted floor mats as the option on the model that I drove. For more information visit www.Hyundai.com.
