A Chariot fit for a King, The Lexus LS 500

Cart

I had a great time driving the Lexus LS 500 rear-wheel drive. I spent a week around the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. My travels took me to the Baltimore Inner Harbor. I also drove West to Hagerstown, Maryland, and the Northeastern part of West Virginia.

My driving took me on I-81, I-70, I-270, I-495, I-95, and even driving in Northern Virginia on I-66. I also drove in Maryland on the I-200 interconnector.

I spent a great amount of time driving and it was driving during the week leading to my son’s birthday. It was a very special occasion and I really appreciate having him ride along with me and enjoy the LS 500. Underneath the hood is a twin-turbo V6 that makes 416 horsepower and 442-pound feet of torque.

It is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and rides on 20-inch wheels.

The driving experience was exceptionally smooth and comfortable. You have many drive modes, including; sports, sport plus, and eco. It’s a quiet cabin with active noise cancellation. The model I drove was the luxury package. It had a panoramic roof and rear reclining seats.

Both my son and my mother enjoyed riding in the reclining seats. There’s apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability in addition to Amazon Alexa integration. It’s has a 23 speaker, 2,400 watt Mark Levinson system.

I was able to listen to the entire Chronicles of the Electromagnetic Field General album. I created this project with the Carnegie Mellon music department. It sounded truly dynamic and exhilarating. Paradise, another one of my songs, sounded great on the sound system. You are able to hear the melodic notes and feel the bass underneath. There’s also a lot of active safety technology and it features the Lexus safety system 2.0. The base price on the LS500 rear-wheel drive is $76,000 dollars. Features like; the luxury package, the heads-up display, the sound system, premium paint, and more yielded a tested price of $98,080. For more information visit www.lexus.com.
