Kia has made its mark on the American automobile industry. The Kia Soul has been an innovative vehicle that has defied convention and gained customers. Boxy and featuring lots of cargo room for a compact vehicle, the Soul is one of a kind. Now for 2020, the Soul is refreshed with new models and engine options.
I drove an X-Line for a week around the Washington Metropolitan Area. New with the Soul is new styling and technology features. On the X-Line you get a more rugged look with a body kit and off-road accents. I really love the interior and the design elements. On the exterior, you also have some nice design touches like the integrated Soul logo in the cladding.
The Soul X-Line boasts a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine that makes 147 HP and 132 lb-ft of torque. It has a variable transmission that gets an EPA-rated 33 mpg on the highway. Several safety features come standard like; blind-spot collision warning, and lane change assist.
Android Auto and Apple Car Play are also standard. I have visited the Kia Sohari Factory before, however, the Soul is manufactured at the Gwangju Plant. The base price on the Kia Soul Turbo is $21,620. For more info, visit www.kia.com
