The Lexus RX 350L is a superb luxury crossover SUV. It builds on the already excellent RX 350 and adds another row of seating. In hindsight, this would have been the perfect model for my brother and sister-in-law, both doctors in Houston. The third row of seating is perfect for child seats. My nephew and niece will enjoy luxury appointments. Ride quality on the 350L is consistent with the 5 passenger model. I enjoyed a week in the Washington metropolitan area with the RX 350L. With a 3.5L V6 engine that makes 290 HP matted to an 8-speed transmission, the RX 350L AWD gets an EPA rated 25 MPG on the highway. The model I drove also had 18” wheels and options like park assist, a 12.3 in the navigation system, triple beam auto-leveling LED headlights, wood, and aluminum trim as part of the luxury package which along with other options took the $49,170 base price to $60,858. You get the Lexus safety system standard with features like a pre-collision system, pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, lane departure, and steering assist standard.
