For the 2019 model year Toyota has totally redesigned the Rav 4 SUV. Beyond cosmetic changes, and a plethora of added technology, Toyota has also added changes to the powertrain. The 2019 Rav 4 features a 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine that makes 203 HP and 184 lb-ft of torque. I spent a week in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area with a beautiful blue XLE and really enjoyed my time driving it. In the XLE Premium AWD model I drove, it is matted to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
