The LEXUS RX 350 AWD

Cart

I was delighted to get a week with the new Lexus RX 350 AWD. I had driven the performance tuned F Sport before, but this model was the base AWD model which didn’t have the firmer suspension and paddle shifters. That didn’t make much of a difference to me as the RX 350 has always been smooth riding and for the target demographic this is more likely the model they will purchase. My sister in law has a similar one and she and my brother recently drove down from Connecticut to the DC Metropolitan area to pay a visit. The RX 350 has been a best-selling midsize luxury SUV for years and the model I drove did not disappoint. With a 3.5L V6 engine that makes 295 HP, matted to an 8-speed transmission, the RX 350 AWD gets and EPA rated 26 MPG on the highway. The model I drove also had 20” wheels and options like park assist, a 12.3 in navigation system, panoramic moon roof, wood and aluminum trim as part of the luxury package which along with other options took the $44,970 base price to $61,905. You get the Lexus safety system standard with features like a pre-collision system, pedestrian detection, radar cruise control, lane departure and steering assist standard.
