The Sequoia is one Rugged SUV

Cart

Built on the same platform as the Toyota Tundra, the Sequoia combines the ruggedness of a light duty truck with refined driving manners to make a compelling option in the full-size SUV segment.  During my week of driving the Sequoia in the Washington Metropolitan area, I found the Sequoia sturdy yet comfortable to drive.  It is powered by a 5.7L V8 that makes 381 HP and 401 lb-ft of torque.  The model I drove was configured for 7 passengers to sit comfortably with captain’s chairs in the second row and a 3rd row bench arrangement.  It has 3-zone climate control allowing passengers in all rows to adjust their settings and for second row passengers there is a Blu-ray disc player behind the front seats.  The Platinum model I drove also had the JBL audio system, Entune app service, and several safety features including Toyota Safety Sense P – pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and dynamic radar cruise control.  The starting price of the Sequoia Platinum four-wheel drive is $67,535.  For more info, visit www.toyota.com.
