I had an incredible time driving the Mazda CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus around the Washington DC metropolitan area. My drives took me on I-495, north to I-695 in the greater Baltimore area, far west on I-70, and even on I-270 to Western Maryland. I also drove through the Appalachian hills to the northeastern part of West Virginia on I-81, where I truly enjoyed the 2.5L Turbo inline-4 engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2.5L Turbo 4 engine produces 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The CX-50 I drove featured 20-inch wheels and a Mazda Soul Red exterior. It also boasts a 3,500-pound towing capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I experienced a lot of this power during my drives. The vehicle’s fit and finish are impeccable, and the technology integration is excellent. It features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and numerous active safety features like adaptive cruise control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I particularly loved the panoramic roof, which allowed me to look up at the night sky while listening to the Spa channel and Watercolors, bringing a sense of serenity and calm to my drives. My younger brother also loves the CX-50; he purchased one because of its quality and style. He owns a BMW M5 Competition and is a doctor, so he appreciates the fit, finish, and quality materials of the CX-50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CX-50 is partially manufactured in the United States at a joint factory in Madison, Alabama, a collaboration between Toyota and Mazda. This factory also produces the Corolla Cross and several other vehicles. The Mazda CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus is also fuel-efficient, with an EPA rating of 29 miles per gallon on the highway.
