I had a wonderful time spending a week driving the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport SE with Technology Package. My journey took me all around the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including drives through Baltimore along I-495, city streets in D.C. near Howard University, and westward on I-270 to the Appalachian hills in Hagerstown and northeastern West Virginia on I-81. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This extended drive allowed me to fully appreciate the Atlas Cross Sport\u2019s roomy cabin, smooth styling, and impressive technology integration. Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Atlas Cross Sport delivers solid horsepower and torque, with responsive handling even in the front-wheel-drive model I drove. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this model didn\u2019t feature Volkswagen\u2019s 4MOTION all-wheel drive, I found the vehicle\u2019s handling and stability more than capable of driving in both city and highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The technology package in the Atlas Cross Sport SE is comprehensive. I was able to use Apple CarPlay effortlessly, and the vehicle also features IQ.DRIVE, is Volkswagen\u2019s advanced driver assistance system, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and front assist with emergency braking. These features provided added safety and convenience throughout my drives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, the Atlas Cross Sport SE offers a 10.25-inch customizable digital instrument display and a new 12-inch multifunction center touchscreen. The digital dashboard allowed me to personalize settings, while the touchscreen made it easy to control navigation, media, and vehicle settings. The vehicle also includes wireless charging, which worked perfectly for my iPhone, adding to the overall convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Atlas Cross Sport SE\u2019s exterior is another highlight, with a bold front grille, sleek LED lights, and a well-designed rear end. The wheels and overall styling make a strong impression, contributing to its upscale look among midsize SUVs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior is equally comfortable, with supportive seats and ample legroom for all passengers.
