I had a spectacular time driving the Ford Maverick Lariat all-wheel drive. The Maverick, Ford’s compact Pickup, truly impressed me. The EcoBoost engine was fuel-efficient, capable, and powerful enough for my drives around the Washington DC metropolitan area. I drove west on I-495 to I-270, then up I-70 through the Appalachian Hills, all the way to the northeastern part of West Virginia on I-81. I also spent time by the Potomac River in West Virginia, enjoying the scenic sights and routes around the DC area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Maverick proved to be highly functional and capable. I was able to help my disabled mother with grocery shopping, carrying her walker in the bed of the pickup. The B&O sound system, with its eight speakers, allowed me to enjoy the music I created with the music department at Carnegie Mellon. Additionally, the Ford Sync 3 system with Apple CarPlay integration made the drives even more enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Maverick’s 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system provided a smooth driving experience around the I-495 beltway and on multiple trips to the government contract convention at National Harbor. The vehicle also has a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, which was very convenient. I loved the color and the fit and finish of the interior.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only did I drive with my mother, but I also hung out with a friend and attended a concert. Plus, I took my son to a medical appointment. The Maverick seats four adults comfortably, carries a lot of cargo, and boasts active safety technology. It looks cool too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
