I had a fabulous time driving the Hyundai Elantra N line. It is a sports-tuned version of the Elantra sedan that has many driving modes. You have the normal, you have the sport, you have the smart. Underneath the hood is a 1.6-liter turbo engine four-cylinder engine, 201 horsepower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had an exhilarating time driving around the Washington DC metropolitan area. I\u00a0 made several trips on I-70 through the mountains. My voyage spanned the western part of Maryland to Hagerstown on I-70.\u00a0 I also drove to the northeastern part of West Virginia onI-81. I wanted to feel the power underneath the hood. The model I had driven was a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with shiftronic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a lot of very strong visual cues on the N-line.\u00a0 That makes it very attractive. People might want performance without upgrading to the Elantra N.\u00a0 The N has almost eighty more horsepower. With the N-Line you have a sports-tuned interior with sports seats and a digital cockpit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also love technology integration. They’re both wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto integration. I was able to integrate the music that I made with the music department at Carnegie Mellon and it sounded pretty cool in the sound system on the Elantra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s also the ability to integrate Siri voice commands. I was excited to test out this feature.\u00a0 I love this interior. The model I drove also had wireless charging capabilities with NFC. It also had heated seats. 18 inches wheels come standard and there’s even a dual chrome tip exhaust. What I’m excited about is the power. It’s also the handling and the styling. My son enjoyed our drives and there’s even a lane keep assist available in the model I drove. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aluminum pedals gave us a racing touch along with the leather-wrapped N-line steering wheel with paddle shifters. Amazingly it’s also fuel efficient. It gets an EPA-rated 34 miles per gallon on the highway. There’s so much to love about the Elantra N-line including the starting price of $24,350. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other desirable features include; an 8-inch car touchscreen display, black headliner, and race-inspired interior.
