Getting a chance to spend a week in an all-new Bronco sport took me back to 1998. It had a very special sentimental effect on me. I was a 23-year-old Damola with a white Bronco II. The Bronco II is the predecessor to the Bronco Sport. My Bronco II was white with blue accents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It had a six-speed manual. It took me a lot of places and it shares a very special place in my heart. I will later graduate from the Bronco II to the Expedition. That is another chapter to be discussed at another time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was impressed with the level of technology, the quality of the fit and finish, the stitching, and of styling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let’s get underneath the hood. I drove a 2021 Outer Banks 4×4 model. It features a 1.5 liter EcoBoost engine. That makes 181 Horsepower and 190 pounds-feet of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s also fuel-efficient. It gets an EPA-rated twenty-eight miles per gallon on the highway. I also like the active safety technology. It had steering assist and adaptive cruise control in Ford’s co-pilot 360 assist plus system. It also had a wireless charging pad and a B&O sound system with 10 speakers that were voluminous. I tested it out with the Paradise<\/a> song I created with the music department at Carnegie Mellon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is also a wide range of options that you can get included in the copilot 360 and the 300 equipment group. This is all part of the Outer Banks package. My drives took me on routes I drove in my old Bronco II.\u00a0 Naturally, I drove westward to West Virginia on I-81 and Western Maryland on I-70. In the Washington DC metropolitan area, I drove on I-495. I also drove on the Interstate connector on I-200. My driving impressions made me miss my old Bronco, but this isn’t my old Bronco. This is reconfigured for the modern era. Packaging is great. Styling is exceptional. The ride quality just stands out to me. It looks good, it looks way more expensive than what it is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love the cactus grey exterior color, it’s something I’ve never seen before. You blend that in with a navy pier leather. It just looks great, it rides great, And it features a lot of off-road capabilities. The base price on the Bronco Sport Outer Banks is $32,160.
