I remember like it was yesterday being at the California launch of the Genesis brand. At that time it was the model they were launching the brand with. I even remember a drag race versus a 745 BMW and winning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I fondly remember one of the Eagle band members coming to play Hotel California. It was a bold statement at the time by Hyundai to launch a luxury brand in 2009. So much has changed it’s only gotten better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lexicon sound system is so rich and dynamic. It comes with 21 speakers and that’s the first thing I’m talking about because the sound was so robust playing my song Paradise. I’m able to hear the low end the highs the mid-range. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a dynamic audio experience. You have heated and cooled massage seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was an added bonus I preyed on during my week of driving in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The prestige model I drove had a 3.5-liter turbo V6\u00a0 engine that makes 375 horsepower and 391-pound feet of torque. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prestige package adds to 20-inch alloy wheels and a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s futuristic, to say the least, and you could see things on many levels. It has rich napa leather seating surfaces that are comfortable. You also have rich wood accents throughout the vehicle. It also has a surround-view monitor and remote smart parking assist. There is a beautiful heads-up displaying color. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was able to do some test drives on I-95 in Maryland.\u00a0 I drove all the way East to Annapolis going West to Hagerstown and the Northern part of West Virginia and I-81. I also got to drive on I-97. For my experience, I also drove around DC. The Genesis also comes highway driving assist 2.0 package. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can help you switch lanes, staying your lane, and maintain your distance. It’s a Level 2 autonomous system that Hyundai developed and is using through a lot of their products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing I also love is that on this Genesis when you’re signaling it has the ability to show cameras of the outside of the vehicle. You see what’s going on in the lane which is very helpful. The base price on the genesis prestige is $62,250 dollars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the prestige package, it came out to a delivered price of $ 69,195. I can\u2019t rave about the Genesis G80 enough.
