The 2021 Hyundai Elantra was the North American Car of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving the limited edition I can see why. It has an all-new telematics interface. There are 2 10.25-inch digital screens. You can\u2019t go wrong with wireless charging. There is also an excellent fit and finish on the interior. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BOSE sound system was great. I was able to check out my song Paradise<\/a> and Stop The Bullying<\/a> that I made with the music department at Carnegie Mellon University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The limited I drove came standard with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The driver assist package is awesome. Hyundai calls it the Highway Driving Assist and it helps switch lanes and also maintain your lanes on the highway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is one of the leaders in the class segment. The design cues are very aggressive giving a very modern look. I like the integrated fabric. There are lots of soft plastic touches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Underneath the hood is a 2.0 L four-cylinder engine that makes 147 HP and 132 lb-ft of torque. They’re many drive modes from normal, to sport, and smart. It has an auto-hold braking feature. The several tech features and quality makes it the top car in the compact vehicle space. Few manufacturers are making sedans. Hyundai has proven adept at making exceptional vehicles. My trip to the Goyang design studio<\/a> outside of Seoul Korea in South Korea gave me great insight. I can see how that carries over into vehicles like the all-new car of the year-winning Elantra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was able to drive from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and Western Maryland to the Northern parts of Maryland on I-95. I got an average of 43.1 miles per gallon which is exceptional for a non-hybrid model of this vehicle. The base price of the  Elantra limited is $25,450 dollars. Delivered it came out to $26,610.
