I really enjoyed my drive in the Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD. It had been a while since I had been behind the wheel of the CX-9. The Signature Edition I drove, had a special machine gray metallic paint job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior of the signature edition is well-crafted. It has real wood accents on the interior. It also had Mazda’s great telematics system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s underneath the hood is a SKYACTIV 2.5-liter turbo 4 cylinder engine. It makes 227 horsepower and 310 lb-feet of torque. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

you get 20-in wheels standard on this signature edition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love the quality of the Nappa leather seats in the vehicle. Seating is configured for six passengers with captain chairs for the second row. It\u2019s now designed to have a first-class feel with a new center console and heated seats standard. Another cool feature I loved was the heads up display with traffic sign recognition. The Mazda CX-9 is a full-size SUV that seats six adults comfortably. I had a good drive on I-95 and I also drove on I-97 to Maryland\u2019s State Capitol, Annapolis. On my drives, I’ve been listening to the Spa and Watercolors stations on SiriusXM. This helps get my mind relaxed and calm while all this chaos is going on around us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music sounds great on the BOSE sound system. The CX-9 also has Android Auto and Apple Carplay. I was able to also listen to the project I did with the students of Carnegie Mellon University on the YouTube music app or my phone. I created a hip-hop jazz fusion album. The BOSE sound system\u2019s audio quality approached what we did in the studio. You can listen to the music HERE<\/a>. The CX-9 gets an EPA rated 26 miles per gallon on the highway. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission with sport mode. Safety features include options like; Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-path traffic alert standard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base price on the Mazda CX-9 signature is $46,115. There weren’t many options outside of a $300 paint charge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
