I have to admit, I really loved driving the Toyota Corolla Hatchback, HSE. It is a nice functional compact, with great styling and technology. The model I drove around the Washington, DC metropolitan area had a six-speed manual transmission matted to a 2.0 L engine that makes 168 HP and 155 lb.-ft of torque. The power was more than adequate during my jaunts around I-495 and other streets locally. There is an 8\u201d display with the entune 3.0 system which has Apple Carplay compatibility, and Siri eyes free integration. I also enjoyed the road sign assist feature, dynamic radar cruise control and, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 with a pre collision system and pedestrian detection. As far as styling you get 18\u201d wheels, aggressive curves, great black accents, led lighting, and more on what was a fun daily cruiser. I also loved the auto hold braking feature which made driving a manual around DC easier. The Corolla Hatchback gets 37 MPG on the highway and starts at $22,990 for the XSE model.
