I have always loved the Mazda Miata. It has always had the perfect balance of weight and power with a fun to drive factor that has made it the standard in its segment. I actually had an opportunity to visit the factory in Hiroshima Japan where the MX-5 is made and came away impressed. With a 2.0L turbo engine that makes 181 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft of torque in a vehicle that weighs 2,332 pounds, you can see how the engineers composed a perfect driver\u2019s sports car. Mazda also puts its easy-to-use Mazda Connect telematics and navigation system that also features a USB hub for playing media in the MX-5. The 7-inch display has touchscreen capability and an integrated audio system that also features a 9 speaker Bose sound system. I had the pleasure of spending a week with the MX-5 and found the experience to be exhilarating. The handling in the MX-5 is superb. While driving through the DC metropolitan area and on the highways of Maryland, I was impressed with how comfortable it was for my 6-foot frame. The MX-5 is also fuel-efficient. You get an EPA-tested 34 MPG on the highway in the 6-speed manual. The MX-5 Grand Touring starts at $30,780, with a delivered price of $32,650 with options like the manual transmission package and the grand touring package which brings both cosmetic and handling upgrades to the MX-5.
