Lincoln Nautilus: A Tech-Enabled, Fuel-Efficient Luxury SUV

Cart

I had a spectacular time driving the Lincoln Nautilus. It has been a while since I had a chance to get back in Lincoln. I have had some interviews recently where I talked to some Lincoln designers, but getting into the Nautilus has been an exceptional experience.

It is tech-enabled. The infotainment system integrates Google Auto and Android Auto. The dashboard features a fully digital, immersive wrap-around screen that showcases the futuristic technology Lincoln is developing in their vehicles. There’s also an 11.1-inch center stack screen. Instead of gear shifts, you have push buttons.

I also love the Revel sound system, where I was able to listen to the music I made with the music department at Carnegie Mellon and also listen to the Dah-Varsity soundtrack. The Nautilus is a mid-size SUV with plenty of room and space. I love the steering wheel. It’s also a hybrid, so it gets an EPA-rated 31 miles per gallon on the highway, making it very fuel-efficient.

It has a 2.0-liter turbo engine, a permanent all-wheel-drive system, and a gas tank that goes over 600 miles per fill-up. I didn’t have to fill up once. I enjoyed my time driving around the Washington DC metropolitan area. I made it across the Bay Bridge on I-97.

I was able to find some peace and calm by the water. Then I made it all the way west to the northeastern part of West Virginia, driving up I-70, through I-270, and making it up to I-81. The Nautilus, beyond being phenomenal, has a great design and an aggressive front fascia. The model I drove was the Reserve 3.

I drove the Nautilus Reserve 3, which has a base price of $54,750. For more information, visit Lincoln.
