HTC ONE A9

With the One A9, HTC went in a different direction and the results are bearing fruit. I have been testing this device for a number of weeks and it has become my go-to device for capturing video, using social media, and playing music. I recorded the best videos with it at a recent Roots concert I attended, better than videos I’ve recorded with other devices I’ve used and reviewed. The 13MP camera is exceptional and we used it to shoot some incredible shots of the Mercedes-AMG GT S. The HTC One A9 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit Octa-core processor with an additional 32GB of onboard memory and 3GB of RAM. Frankly, I despise not being able to add more flash memory to most of the premium devices on the market, so the One A9 with the ability to do so, has been a godsend as I have been using this device to interview executives and capture videos of our auto reviews. There are pro settings on the camera that allow you to adjust the ISO settings. The auto-focus feature is exceptional and when using it at 15-20 feet from the stage, I was able to re-focus and get sharp images. The sound is great and through HTC Connect I am able to pair it with my Pioneer AV system. The One A9 also comes with Android’s latest OS, Marshmallow 6.0 with HTC Sense. The One A9 costs $499.99 unlocked and is available on carriers like Sprint for $20/month on lease. I have been able to find this phone for sale in the $430-range on Amazon.com, so shop around.
