When I began this Toyz journey 9 years ago, the vision was to combine editorials about cars, gadgets, and video games into one publication. At that time, the notion seemed far-fetched and many wondered if I had focus, yet history has vindicated us. The Forza Horizon 2 video game on Xbox One has blessed us. With rich, immersive visuals and stunning graphics, Forza Horizon 2 has done the best job of simulating the driving experience of performance vehicles. The platform has also partnered with automotive manufacturers to provide concept vehicles and future products for gamers to experience in the virtual world of Forza and also be able to experience on the legendary tracks and in the exotic locations us auto journalists frequent as we gain our perspective on the vehicles we evaluate. Nothing beats the real thing; however, Forza Horizons 2 comes the closest to helping you get an in-depth engagement with the ultra mobiles. One of my favorite vehicles is the now discontinued Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. In Forza I was able to relive my experience pushing the 571 HP engine to its limits and the rich sound gave me flashbacks of one of the most memorable moments of my life. I can’t wait to see what the Turn 10 team does next in this series and how they will enhance the gameplay and integrate the upcoming Windows 10. I can only fantasize about the upcoming Windows HoloLens along with Kinnect and the virtual and interactive possibilities to experience a game like Forza Horizons 2.
