2016 GMC Terrain Denali 3/4 front

One can expect more differentiation between GMC and the other GM brands moving forward. The new Acadia has shrunk, getting it closer in line with the Terrain, which has performed marvelously in the mid-size SUV segment. The Terrain is a dynamic combination of looks, functionality, technology, and practicality. In a week of driving the Terrain Denali, I was impressed with safety features like lane departure warning and forward collision alert which came in handy in the gridlock and tense DC Metropolitan-area traffic. With lots of chrome accents and premium touches, the Terrain Denali more than holds its own for luxury-inclined customers. The all-wheel drive (AWD) model I drove featured a 3.6L V6 engine that makes 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque and fuel economy was rated 23 mpg on the highway. The Terrain AWD Denali starts at $35,925 and with options like the 3.6L V6 engine, a power sunroof, and a Color Touch Navigation System with IntelliLink technology in the model I drove, the price is just above $41,000 delivered.
